So much to do, so little time
Jan. 8th, 2005 12:42 pmYou know what's a great feeling? When you wake up and look at the clock and go "OMG! I am so totally late for work!" and then, seconds later, go "Wait, I don't have work today!" and then you roll over and go back to sleep. That is a great feeling.
My weekend so far is rainy, which I don't mind, except that I want to put my Xmas decorations away so hopefully it won't be so wet outside that carting cardboard boxes back and forth from my apt to my storage unit won't be an exercise in futility. In an hour I'll be going to the eye doctor to have her check on my new contact prescription (which I've discovered I'm not fond of, as it makes reading very difficult) and then it's back home to take the decorations down and hopefully get some writing done.
The current list of fannish things to do is overfull, at the moment. I am now finding my original hope of trying to knock out a charity fic a day to have been very quaint and amusing on my part. Luckily it would seem that nobody else is trying to keep to that kind of schedule, plus those who donated have been very kind and patient, so this is me giving them a public thank you for that. FWIW I can promise that if I'm not working on a charity fic, it's because I'm caught up in
ats_nolimits stuff, which is currently working at a speed factor of 11 as we try to get things ready and finalized to pick up again after our winter break (look for announcements about the upcoming schedule to be posted hopefully at the end of this weekend). I tell ya, if there's this much work when all we've got is writers and editors to wrangle, I do not envy people who do actual shows with actors, directors, costumes that need to be made, sets designed, locations scouted, etc.
In more personal and non-fannish news, depending on the schedule I may be having a very stressful meeting tomorrow (
stakebait knows what I'm talking about. It'd be about that nervous breakdown inducing thing I got your opinion on when we were chatting on the phone). Which I mention here just in case stress and/or worry and/or nerves about that make me head for the hills, or at least go hide under my bed.
Oh, and, Wolf? Turns out I can't do 24 with you tomorrow because a family thing that was originally scheduled for tonight got moved to tomorrow, because my Older Brother is a big, fat, poopy-head. So we'll just have to confab in email later.
Now to get ready for the eye doctor! Excitement iz me!
