A rainbow day

So the joy of my day starts last night, where in spite of going to bed on time I can't get to sleep. Instead I'm stuck wide awake until easily 3, 3:30 in the morning, with my alarm going off at 7:30. So already we're having fun.
Then Buffy's ending.
And then comes the realization that thanks to work not being done the few minutes earlier I need it to, plus thanks to the Buffy finale gathering I was going to being located further downtown than our usual meetup in the first place that I'm going to be watching the series finale of Buffy all by myself, instead of with my favorite Devons, which sucks.
THEN this absolute slag of a patient comes in and in my earshot mind you, flat-out tells the doc that I don't do my job because I never returned her phone calls. This even though 1) it was phone call, singular, 2) I did, which was a miracle considering she left the most garbled message I've ever heard in my life and I'm amazed I figured out her name 3) none of the numbers she gave said that someone by her name was located there which 4) I told her yesterday, when she called back, after being extra-nice and apologizing for the mixup even though it wasn't my fault to begin with and explaining what went on.
Luckily for me the doc knows my work better than this and responded to her with "Actually no, she did call and I was there when she did." but still, who does that?
So that's my day so far. Other than the doc being cool (and
