The bad: My laptop has been having problems, thus limiting my online access. WOE!

The good: Went to the OTW Halloween party on Sat and had a most enjoyable time.

I am on my couch with my laptop in my lap and two kitties curled up in contented balls of contentment on either side of me. It is physically impossible to be unhappy under these circumstances.

I updated my craft blog for the first time in a billion years. There are even pictures, ooooooo!

Late breaking update: Luna is now not only curled up beside me but purring. Far, far too cute.

So with the new year I'm trying new methods of organization and handling things, ( cut as I natter on about health and adapting )

In other, totally unrelated, news I am officially on board the SPN train now. Though my mom gets the toaster oven for this since she's been trying to pimp me into it the longest. ;)

You know what's neat about a laptop with wireless? Staying in bed on a Sunday morning and reading can now include catching up on your flist. This is a good thing.

I'm currently up, in comfy clothes, and catching up on the internets while Luna is perched on one leg, my laptop is perched on another, and there is proper tea to drink and pancakes and apples to eat. I believe this defines contentment. Luna is doing her Vespa purring so I assume she agrees with me.

Today I have made plans to reclaim some of my space. New clothes are coming in so old clothes are going out. I'm going to go through my closets and shelves and separate out the things that can be donated and the things that are too worn or damaged to be used as anything but dust cloths. I'm curious to see how much space this will clear up.

There is also laundry and house cleaning to do. And I have library books to read.

Life is good.

The fall weather has turned warm. I actually had to put my AC on last night. I do not approve!

I'm currently having a love affair with my laptop. Not literally since that would be sticky, but it is rather nice not being chained to my computer desk. Also? It has three times the RAM than my destop (which has half the RAM that I thought it did - ooops. No wonder it kept freezing on me.) I may end up getting rid of the desktop after all, esp since my dad said he could use an old one. We'll see.

Enjoyed Heroes and S60 last night. Still loving Dexter. Would very much like this stomach bug to go away.

So I spent today curled up on my couch, which made my cats very happy indeed. Mac lay on top of me for most of it, and Luna is now curled up beside me. I was able to use Stanley for all online activities and that worked out pretty well to boot. I skipped dance class for obvious reasons, so my awake hours (which weren't too many, again to Mac's pleasure) were spent catching up on Tivo and seeing if I could be online with the laptop and watch TV and the same time without my weetiny brain exploding. I wouldn't want to try it during a show that requires a lot of attention be paid to it such as, say, Deadwood, but for less intensity shows it seems to work just fine so yay!!

I was also able to eat a bit. Barring any unforseen repeats of last night's fun I should be able to go into work tomorrow no problem. It'll probably be a little busy thanks to me being sick today but at least there's the three day weekend to look forward to.

So after the squeeing joy of being able to be on my couch, online, and watching TV all at once I went to bed - on time even! Amazing! - tried to go to sleep, then discovered I was sick with some kind of stomach bug and at this point I'll kindly fast forward the story for you so that we skip over the gory bits and get right to "And then this morning I called in sick to work."

And the part where right now cereal is a good food for me. No need to get more complicated than that. Blarg.

So here I sit at home, thankfully with a new laptop that allows me to curl up on the couch in the remaining bits of my misery (I do feel better than I did last night, just not great) and still hang out on the net for amusement. Also? Laptops make for nice heating pads. My Stanley is a multi-tasker. I like that about him.

He wont be able to replace my other computer entirely because already I can feel that my hands are not wholly happy without my ergonomic keyboard, but for the reason that I bought him and for the price that I paid he's just perfect.

(And yes, I know that I could hook up a keyboard to him but then I wouldn't be able to curl up on my couch as comfortably as I do now. So we compromise.)

Guess who's currently sitting on her couch, watching TV and surfing the net at the same time thanks to a new (to her) laptop and a wireless connection?
