It may not be practical, but the idea of a floating hotel vastly appeals to me.
This Steampunk laptop mod is seriously pretty, but not so much that I'd spend $60 for the DIY version. (Mostly 'cause I know I'd frak up cutting out the keys). On the other hand someone was finally smart enough to bottle library smell. If you don't understand why that would make someone go "Guuuuuuuh" it's not FOR you.
The NYTimes tells us habits might be good for you. Interesting both for the breaking of habits, but also for the starting of good ones (such as getting people to wash their hands).
Hey, did you know that baseball proves you can't be an atheist? Or something? I mean seriously, a guy hits a lot of home runs and that does more for your belief in God than, as for example, THE ENTIRE FUCKING UNIVERSE? (flipside: the expectation that atheists would say "Oh well we were going to take the rape of 11 year olds as proof that there is no God and/or He doesn't give a shit, but now that the BASEBALL thing is settled sign me up for Mass!")

There are one million names on the Terrorist Watch List. Am I on it? Should I be offended if I'm not? C'mon! Clearly all the cool kids are terrorists!
It's unfortunate that I found out about the world's oldest blogger (108!!!!) when she died. I'll have to go back and read some of her posts.

Trying to cut down on your online time? Yeah, me neither. But if you were a battery only weekend could be a way to do it. Assuming you have a laptop.
