Again with the disguistingly nice day outside. Though it was a wee bit warm. Still, I was able to walk to the store and to pick up dinner. This is when I learned that shows like What Not to Wear are so right when they talk about you never know who you're going to run into when you're out. I nearly bumped into someone from work. I was dressed okay enough for a weekend, but hadn't had a chance to shower after housecleaning and working with my plants and the aforementioned walk. Luckily I don't think I was spotted. Whew.
Now then, on to tonight's addition of Radio TBQ. Having had one that lasted a whole day last week, then another which started last night and stayed with me well into the morning, I was interested in this BBC article on surgery for migraines. It's all very experimental and what have you. I'm not even sure if it would apply to me as apparently it involves taking out a certain muscle? And I get migraines on both sides of my head so would that mean removing two muscles? Or something? I dunno. I'll stick with the thing where I pray to pass out and wake up feeling better. (This is what happens when you have to choose between migraine meds and meds for a more pressing condition. Ah well.)
If you're having trouble thinking of a password you can try this password chart. My code-loving geeky self is all bouncy over it.
Apparently John McCain is turning his POW experience into the political version of "[Name of city] audiences are the BEST AUDIENCES IN THE WORLD!" by changing the name of the team he thought of when talking to his captors. John... I used to love you. I really did. What happened?
In Bataysk Russialink drops YOU you can touch a disembodied pair of boobies. If you're a man, and would like to be more manly. The linked article talks about another disembodied pair of breasts that are being touched that isn't as bothersome. I think part of the reason is that the other pair looks like you've accidentally caught a glimpse of intimacy, wheras this one has this huge masculine hand crossing over the woman's chest and grabbing her boob like it was a knob. Amongst the many reasons why the Russian statue bugs, that is.
Ira Glass talks about the gap between your own good taste and what you're hoping to do. He talks about how basically you have to do a lot of work that you won't think is good in order to get to the good stuff. He's speaking of radio broadcasting in his case but it could just as easily be about painting, or writing, or whatever.
Vintage radios, mmmmmmm.
You know, it's not that Marks & Sparks is putting a tax on bras bigger than DD. It's that the protest group is called "Busts 4 Justice." There are just so many reasons why I wish I lived in England.
