Up late last night with more RPGFHing. Except it's all on the phone so don't get your hopes up for ever seeing the results of that. However I will say that I think the concept of a drunk Wesley who's very annoyed that drinks named Jelly Beans do not actually come in different colors is adorable.
24 last night was disappointing. Honestly I couldn't get into it much. I liked some of the Keifer/Drazen stuff but the rest just felt like filler. Who cares about Spawn's escapades in jail? Getting her out could have been established with Hippy Cop calling that phone number just as easily as skank girlfriend "confessing" - and been just about as believable.
And the stuff with Palmer and the speech writer just had me cringing. I kept waiting for Lady Palmer to walk in, or find out and use it against him or something. Why introduce this new element with so few episodes left anyway? Are they trying to set up some things for a season 2? Like Palmer having an affair is what's going to make us tune in again?
I'll admit I flipped back and forth between that and Smallville a lot. But here's hoping the final eps are going to be better.
Smallville was, of course, yummy. God is the slash canon. I agree with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
destina who said that it's getting harder to tell if the slash isn't supposed to be canon. What was with all the guilty looks? And the pointed conversations about Lex's admiration for Clark? And, well, the entire episode? It makes me wonder if they haven't been trying to Ben Hur this by making Lex's lust for Clark an unspoken motivation.
I'll admit though that in the light of Angel this season I can't help but watch the yumminess of Smallville with a slightly bitter edge. How many seasons will it be before suddenly Smallville is doing the equivalant of Angel season three where for no reason at all the entire cast falls in seriously unbelievable heterosexual love? Sigh.
