New Buffy, new 24 - I'm a happy camper.

Great snowstorm up here this morning. HUGE round flakes. It was like living inside of a snow globe. Then it went away and the stupid sun came out. Pfft.

Going to LA at the end of the month to visit the hobbit child. My boss also informed me today that he's taking not one but TWO vacations in the next two months. Which means that for a week in Feb and a week in March I get the office to myself. Whoohoo!

I suppose in theory I could've reminded him about me being out of town for Connexions so that he could make his vacation co-incide with mine but... meh. ;)

Got back from LA safely, but late. Stupid flight delays.

Totally exhausted from the trip so I'm going to ask for another day or so of understanding as it takes me a while to get back to y'all who are waiting on emails and whatnot.

Okay, logging off until I get back home. My flight is tomorrow morning (that's Monday morning, for those of you playing the home game). I don't think I'll be logged on tomorrow though b/c I'm landing in the evening, then have to get home, convince my cat that I still love him, shower, get ready for work the next day, etc. But I should be back online Tuesday.

Guess what I found out today? Joss Whedon. Cast of Buffy. Doing a signing of Once More With Feeling. One mile from my hotel.

EB: The perky one?

TBQ: [thinking that could apply to either] Cordy or Fred? Charisma or Amy?

EB: The one that was there from the beginning.

TBQ: Ah. Charisma.

EB: Yeah. She was two stairmasters away from me.

EB: [clearly with a glint in his eye] Yeah, I went over and told her that I thought the show sucked.

TBQ: [knows he's probably taking the piss, but daring to hope anyway] Did you really? Did you really tell her that the show sucked? Because last season bit hard.

EB: Nah.

TBQ: Damn.

EB: But she was there.

TBQ: Whatever.

Seriously need to get used to how many Hollywood folks Elder Bro and Sis in law know. Met the location scout/manager/whatever for Six Feet Under today - he lives next door. Nice guy.

Also did a pilgrimage to the Hyperion. Angel does not live in a bad neighborhood, lemme tell ya. Assuming that they actually have the Hyperion on Wilshire and Norton on the show - never saw anything to confirm or deny that location in the canon.

If anyone's interested I could maybe do a small write up of what the area around the building is like. Of course I can't help but remember the old days of Dagger (

catscradle and

versailles_rose know what I'm talking about) where all of the fanfic authors randomly guessed at locations until some folks took a pilgrimage to New Orleans and set a few things right. Still - for the brief time I was there I'd be happy to do a report.

As always, just grabbing random moments of net access when I can. Email is a bit much but at least I can keep my toes in the water from time to time.

Hey all

Just posting real quick from Elder Brother's apt to say that I'm alive and well. Plane flight was insanely good. PDA rocks - I started the next Epiphany while on the flight. Who knows? Maybe I'll finish it by the time I get back.

I'm guessing this is a fluke of timing though so don't plan on me being around to check email or anything. Just wanted to let y'all know I arrived safely.
