Furniture and stuff. Huh.

thebratqueenSo the place definitely feels different with furniture in it. And I'm very happy with the paint because even with boxes all over and my main bed totally unmade and covered with clothes the rooms still look good. The violet in the bedroom combined with the iron four-poster bed gives the place a nice romantic feel, and the dark green of the living room combined with the wood of the desk and the dark blue of my couches gives it this forest-colors-meets-English-study kind of feel (what? I never went to design school. cope).
Dining room is hard to judge since it's mostly boxes and a glass table. I think that's not going to solidify until I move the table into the right spot, arrange the chairs and put the paintings up.
I ranted about the former client who needed her website transfered before, right? Well I logged in today and got email from the former client's sister saying she was going to take over the page now and could I just tell her where the files were that'd be great. Her tone was friendly and I know the client well enough to know she probably wasn't too pissed, but even still I feel bad that she had to go through this (even though none of "this" was really any of my fault since not like I made the decision to shut down the business and not like I'm the one who told SNET that a completely unusable system was the way to go).
So I feel bad but OTOH I'm also glad because thank God that's no longer hanging over my head.
Plans for the weekend? Unpacking, unpacking and maybe some unpacking on the side. May or may not try writing as well. We'll see. Epiphany, story challenge, original fic or none of the above - who knows?
