thebratqueenWork is BUSY. Dept meeting, boss leaving on vacation next week. Tons of stuff to do and it all has to be done NOW!!!!!

And also At the Olympics, you have to go through a few hurdles - no pun intended, to prove that you're female. This is a problem for those who are XY, yet are still women. Gymnasts who may be staggeringly underage do not seem to have this problem.
A 5 year old Apache boy in Houston is being denied the ability to go to kindergarten because his long hair violates the dress code. This would be the same long hair that is deeply rooted (...again with me swearing the pun is not intended) in his culture. The school board would allow the kid to keep his long hair if it was for religious reasons, but they say that generations of Apache culture regarding not cutting the hair is not good enough. Because as we all know, being Apache is a choice. (Sadly that's not much of a paraphrase of the reasoning.) Click the link for more info, and also for a picture of the kid who is FREAKING ADORABLE.

Ex-google employees create search engine to compete with their old boss. Ironically they would've been vastly helped by googling "Names for search engines that are not UTTERLY TWEE" but I suppose it's understandable why they didn't.
CNN has an interview with Ben Stein who tells us that not only is evolution a myth, but so's the subprime mortage meltdown. Also Karl Rove is a total woobie. I wonder what color the sky is in Ben's world, I really do.
