Storm! (now with pictures!)

thebratqueenOkay, so now we have pictures of the branch that fell.
I started my day realizing something was amiss when I opened my bedroom shades to find this:
Which, as one might imagine, is not my normal view.
I went to the window on the other side of my bedroom (this being Mac's favorite window to look out of, for the record) and saw this:
So clearly someone had been up even earlier than I had, possibly even the night before. I feel it worth mentioning that I heard NOTHING, or at least nothing that I remember as a horrific crash. I did hear a huge gust of wind that knocked a small plastic table off of my porch around 11 o'clock last night, but that was about it. So either it happened then and I didn't realize, or it happened after and I slept through it. Either way the take home message here is "TBQ is seriously oblivious to the world around her"
I then went outside to get a look at the damage.
The view from my porch. My bedroom window and A/C can be seen on the right. My Logan bunny can be seen at the bottom. Luckily he was not hurt.
A more closeup (and not as dark, wtf camera?) picture. Again my bedroom window and AC are on the right. My bed is right on the other side of those windows. Never heard a thing. Wooo.
Last but not least, down on the ground for another angle. We're looking straight at my apt here. You can get a feel for how big the branch was. Funny thing is that I looked and looked and damned if I can figure out where it fell from. There's one tree that has the markings of a broken branch, but it seems way too small for what fell. So who knows?
At any rate, at least it wasn't the huge tree that crushed a car like last time, so mostly this was interesting. Looks like there's more free mulch in my co-ops' future.
