Treadmill update
May. 17th, 2008 05:43 pmFolks asked about what kind of treadmill I bought. I didn't want to mention until I had actually used the darn thing. Now that I have I can tell you it's a Horizon Evolve.
To save you some of the research I did, I can tell you that this is a VERY basic treadmill. I wouldn't recommend it for jogging, it doesn't do inclines, and it only has one pre-programmed workout.
However it does perfectly meet my needs. All I do is walk, so I didn't need jogging-appropriate stuff. I prefer setting my own pace so a lack of variety in the pre-programmed workouts wasn't an issue. Small was a key factor and this treadmill is very streamlined but still sturdy. Price was another one and you already know the saga of how I got it for $499.
So for that price point and for my needs, it's perfect. If you have similar needs and pricing desires, I would recommend it.
