Thanks to my wonderful Mom and Dad I am fully packed. Okay, granted, some last minute stuff remains like the cable boxes but other than stuff that can't be done until the actual day of the move, the packing's done. Now I can call the movers and get the heck out of there! Woo!
Caught up on my friends list. I see that now
wolfling is posting original fic. The concept bunny (as opposed to plot bunny) is still with me but I'm still not sure there's a story to tell. As I say - it's just a concept. Without a plot what's the point of writing it? So we'll see. If it gets a plot maybe I'll write a snippet and see what y'all think.
In other news it occurs to me that I haven't posted more RPGFH in a while. I should get around to that.
I watched Mission Impossible with my dad last night. We'd both seen it before but it was a good movie to just sit and chill with after a day of packing. The two of us ended up MSTing it to shreds. I also noticed for the first time just how nonsensical the story was. I mean I got the gist of the plot - such as it was - the first time around, but this time the glaring continuity errors just leapt out at me. One of which was why, if they're masters of disguise, Ving Rhames' character wasn't in one when they were on the TGV? Also the Bible which proved to be how Tom's character figured out the mole also makes no sense when you recall Max's earlier line that Job wasn't inclined to quote scripture in their communications - well if Job didn't quote scripture, why was the Bible necessary?
Dad and I also got a kick out of keeping track of how often Tom flexed his muscles for no real reason. Sample dialogue:
Tom: [sitting in front of a laptop, staring at it]
Dad: Geez, could he flex those muscles more?
TBQ: Well he's still pumped from using the mouse.
I'm also introducing my parents to the wonder that is Blackadder. It's going well all things considered.
Lazy Sunday ahead. Might go see a movie. Who knows?
