Weetiny SPN thought

thebratqueenI am but a n00b still to SPN ways, so I cannot claim to grok all the nuances or backstory.
That being said, here is my weetiny speculation for next week's ep. No spoilers, except for last night's ep.
In Sam's dream the YED said words to the effect of how he had an army - well, he was getting an army.
My suspicion is that the ghost town wasn't about culling it down to one. Or that if it was, that wasn't the total point. I think the ghost town was meant for training. If the YED is telling the truth (big assumption, granted) and killed Mary and Jess to make sure Sam had the psychological kick he needed to go hunting then the whole "All of you enter, one leaves" thing in the town may have been yet another psychological kick for all the other chosen kids.
After all, Ava (Eva?) had been sweetie-pie Normal McNormalson until she spent five months fighting for her life. And she told Sam that her powers became stronger once being there made her accept the dark side.
So I think the town is actually about the YED making his army. He shoves them there, forces them to go Lord of the Flies on each other, and when they do so that means:
1) They get mentally into the evil game
2) They become more powerful
and
3) Die, which is how YED gets them over to Hell which is the last step required for them to be officially on his team for the Apocalypse.
Which means that next week we'll have Dean dealing with Sam's death, and then finding out that Sam's (and possibly Dad) have been forced to fight on the wrong side of the battle. And if Dean can 'win' he'll be able to bring them back to life again. But since this is SPN it'd probably be something like he can save Sam or Dad, or at the last minute he leaps into hell with them and we spend all summer wondering how all three of them get out of there.
Or summat.
Or I am totally and utterly WRONG WRONG WRONG like a wronging thing that wrongs a lot.
Which is highly possible.
