This is how my day went
Mar. 30th, 2007 08:36 pmLuna is currently lying across my wrists and purring. Clearly I have been forgiven from this morning when our conversation was more like:
Me: *puts kitties into carriers*
Luna: HELLO! What is UP with this? Let me out!
Me: It's okay, sweetie.
Luna: Do not talk to me! You are not my mother! You are clearly an evil robot disguised to look like my mother because MY MOTHER WOULD NOT DO THIS TO ME!
Mac: Um... could I be let out while you two are arguing about this?
From there the kitties were taken to the vet, and pronounced to be handsome and pretty by all who saw them. Which of course I can claim full credit for, given how much of a hand I had in the development of their DNA.
Mac is all done for now. Luna has a possible UTI so she gets to have meds for a little while. Luckily they are in liquid form and luckily this is not Mac. For Luna is very sweet and pretty but Mac is the one with brains and memory and back when he had ear mites he quickly learned to avoid me else I would hold him down and put icky medicine into his ears. He also got into the habit of looking at me strangely, while clearly wondering WTF was up with me and my weird-ass hobbies, and could I maybe dump the grab-ear-ick thing in favor of, say, stamp collecting.
The kitties were then brought home and I was able to grab a nap and then lunch before heading out to a doctor's appointment of my own. This resulted in yet another installment in my ongoing adventures to collect new prescriptions like they were Pokemon cards. Though thankfully the latest set of pills that I'm supposed to try when my current set runs out does not, actually, look like weetiny charmanders. I'd have a hard time eating pills that were cute. Plus I imagine those tails would burn on the way down.
It was nice enough and I felt well enough that I was able to walk to the doctor's and then walk to a nearby shopping center. I treated myself to some relatively cheap impulse buys in the Yankee Candle section of my Bed, Bath, & Beyond. This is where the walking part came in handy because otherwise it would've been some not so cheap impulse buys in the various other sections that make me drool, particularly the kitchen area. Though I also got enraptured by some organizers as well. (Note to self: measure drawers and cabinets)
Tomorrow I work, which sucks. Tonight I have ice cream, which thankfully does not.
