One day more!

thebratqueenAll things being equal, by tomorrow night I will be camped out in my new apt! Yay! Think good carpeting and phone line thoughts.
I was pretty productive yesterday. Got about 1/3 of my packing done. Granted it was books and that's pretty easy to take care of, but even still - neat. It helps that this is a very short move. That allows me a bit more flexibility on the whole "just bung it into a box and worry about it later" concept.
Tomorrow will be busy with the carpeting and the moving my stuff and all. In an ideal universe I'll be able to make trips back and forth while the carpeting guys are there. I'm hoping to fill empty boxes with my pots and pans and just bring those over myself. I'll also be bringing over a matress and my computer. The matress will be interesting - we'll see just how well my car can carry something that big. I remain optimistic though. It's just a twin size, and it's just a ride of a few blocks.
I'm going to try to start bringing over some stuff today as well, like food and whatnot. I also need to go shopping. But on the whole I'm pleased. This is not high-stress kind of stuff. Not yet anyway ;)
In other news I filed for my first unemployment claim. Go me.
