Update on the job front

thebratqueenA few of you have asked me privately how things are going now that I'm unemployed.
Basically I am firmly in the land of denial. I've got enough stress with this move coming up so I'm just not thinking about it until I'm in the new place, which could be a couple of weeks easily.
I got the heads-up from BigBoss (I guess former BigBoss now) that ImmediateBoss isn't handling things too well. I can't say I blame her - she's almost at retirement age but doesn't have enough money to retire on. She still needs to find a job and it's a tough market out there, esp for someone her age.
So I won't be going into work to say my goodbyes just yet.
Otherwise I'm okay. I'm writing off this week as a wash except for anything apt related (I'm doing something with the electrician on Friday, for instance). Hence lots of free time for Live Journalling. I might even go see all the movies that are on my list too.
Funnily enough this is making the heat easy to deal with. It's not as bad at night b/c I don't have to wake up early in the morning and be bright-eyeed for work. It's still fucking hot but it's something I can cope with.
