I had plans
Jun. 15th, 2002 05:10 pmToday was going to be a bumming around town day. They were doing a first annual gay pride festival for this area, and I had errands to run but when I woke up I just did not have it in me to go anywhere. I think the being exhausted from dealing with the painter caught up with me.
So lazy day. Watched some stuff on the history channel and some of the Road Rules marathon on MTV.
I feel a little bad for missing the gay pride thing b/c I would've liked to add my number (1, for those of you keeping track at home) to the crowd as a show of support but OTOH it was also feeling like a chore. I wish I'd had a better idea of what they'd planned on doing. All I could tell from the fliers they made was that there'd be music and speeches. Well... kay, but could we define how this is gay pride anymore than, say, anything else that has music and speeches?
I suppose I'll find out about it when I read about it in the paper, assuming the local paper even covers it.
Ah well, always next year.
