Here's the latest in exchanges with me and the Baptist preacher. I'll admit on this one I didn't feel like getting into all of his points like I usually do.

To refresh your memory, last time 'round I asked him to tell me what the gay agenda was. He replied with basically "Blah blah, want to be viewed as normal, blah blah, AIDS, blah blah, clearly you don't see marriage as being in need of defending but blah blah blah..." Only much wordier than that.

So this is what I zinged back:

No, I don't see that marriage is in need of defending. Or, if it is, that it needs to be defended from homosexuals. Not to be too pedantic, but homosexuals don't want to marry straight people. If they did we'd call them heterosexuals and all of this would be a moot point.

What homosexuals want to do is to have the same loving unions with their partners that heterosexuals do. Now I realize that you believe that that isn't possible. However, regardless of whether or not homosexuals could succeed at having loving relationships, how does their success or failure affect what straight people do?

Put another way, when my gay friends sit in their gay kitchens and have their gay breakfasts how exactly does that make my Cheerios queer?
