Cooking cures everything
Aug. 7th, 2005 04:04 pmToday finds me resting and relaxing. I had vague plans about going out but I have scrapped those in favor of anything that allows me to chill out here at home. This is a day for cooking and perhaps knitting and that's it. Well, that and Tivo ;)
Tonight I'll whip together some kind of summery recipe. I suspect the chicken and tomatoes one that really highlights the joy of a summer tomato. I may also bake some blueberry muffins, as I have been gripped by the urge to try to bake blueberry muffins. I have no idea why, but it'll keep me busy and off the streets so may as well.
Belated thanks to everybody who sent on well wishes for teeny tiny super guy. So far he's doing okay. Apparently his biggest problem is still adjusting to the fact that he's no longer inside of somebody. You can't blame him, as this is a bit of a change for him, environmentally speaking.
His oldest sister is over in Germany right now, so her Oma told her about TTSG being born. Upon which TTSG's big sis replied "I hope he misses me." OB said this amused him as being the perfect self-centered worldview of a 5 year old. To me, though, it made me wonder if to her this made logical sense. After all, she's known about him for months now, why wouldn't he know about her?
And with that I scuttle off to do various things.
