Pesto, work, aunty stuff

thebratqueenI made pesto again. Note to self: though you love garlic, you don't love it that much. I went a wee bit overboard in my preparation and ended up with pesto that could strip paint off of walls. I was able to jigger it down a bit by diluting it some with cheese and olive oil, but even still I'm earmarking that batch to be used in small doses over large amounts - like a tablespoon per an entire pot of chicken soup. Yowza.
It is possible that the annoyances of work might be in a downswing. Boss was better today than yesterday, plus today he was able to do his monthly reading of a report I give him, insistance that the report didn't tell him what he wanted (because past history has shown that the report never tells him what he wants, because even when I have rewritten the automatically generated report to specifically say what he's looking for, he simply doesn't read it and then tells me I didn't give him the information he wanted.), and then putting the report back on my desk which, hopefully, means he'll shut up about it for another month or so.
P-sis is currently attempting to convince junior-to-be that he'd like to live elsewhere, namely outside of her body. Apparently he's doing the same thing his oldest sister did, which is somehow (I am vague due to my own ignorance) mess up P-sis's system so that her skin becomes incredibly itchy, and apparently this has something to do with the liver, and long story short since junior's a big boy already and he was due in a couple weeks anyway they're trying some natural methods to see if they can't encourage him along. Yesterday it was some sort of thing she drinks, today it was acupuncture, tonight the midwives are coming up and after that I have no idea what. She's really hoping to do an at-home birth this time. Or, rather, an on-purpose at home birth, since big sister #2 popped out there regardless of anyone's opinion on the matter.
So clearly I really need to be knitting that sweater a lot faster.
