Lazy Sunday

thebratqueenFinally saw Batman Begins. Had much love for it, though I seem to have fallen under the curse that has hit everyone in my area, viz. an inability to get into the theater in time to see the Serenity trailer. Just have to go see it again I suppose.
The day here is cool and sunny. A perfect day for hanging out on the back porch and BBQing... if my co-op board hadn't decided that July 4th weekend is a great time to chase us all off of our back porches. Bearing in mind that in this complex "back porch" equals "what amounts to a yard" so we're all SOL this weekend.
On the bright side my brother, who used to live in Brooklyn, now lives about 20 min away in the true 'burbs of NYC. So I'm going to go over to his place tonight to see the new house and have BBQ there. There may also be continuation of family drama with that but I'm hoping to paint myself in teflon and have it slip off me.
There's hours to go before that, though, so I'm thinking it'd be nice to make something to take over. Only problem is my brain's all lazy and sleepy so damned if I can remember what on earth my "great dessert that looks fancier than it is to make and can be whipped up in two seconds" dessert is. Cookie pie? Brownies? Something else?
Or maybe I'll just take a nap.
