Okay, time to close the quiz and give you the results.

Just for shits and giggles I'm including how many people picked each answer. I didn't do partial credit which in 20/20 hindsight maybe I should have, but in the meanwhile here's the skinny. Correct answers are in bold.

1. How did I get my nickname of TBQ?

From a Role Playing Game character 3
I stole it from VampChron 7
It was given to me by my older brothers 4
It was given to me by an abarbarian 6
It was the natural choice given my attitude 8

Partial credit to those of you who know it from VampChron, and yes it is a good choice given my attitude, but in fact I did not name myself TBQ. I was christened TBQ by a fellow abarbarian (that's member of alt.books.anne-rice back in the old days when it was cool and not filled with morons coughofficersofthefanclubcough). Who am I to fly in the face of public opinion? ;)

2. What's my favorite (non-alcoholic) drink?

OJ 0
Coke 13
Milk 3
Water 5
Pepsi 7

Not much of a story here. Granted I do drink water more often than anything else, but my fav. drink is still Coke. I'm amused, by the way, at how nobody picked OJ. Do I give off some sort of anti-fruit vibe or something?

3. Lucifrix and I became friends over a mutual love of:

Dave Barry 4
MST3K 17
Kids in the Hall 5
Dennis Miller 1
Denis Leary 1

As Cin and [livejournal.com profile] stakebait have said, this was a tough one even for those who did know me because they knew me well enough to know that [livejournal.com profile] lucifrix and I share a love of all these things. However, Dave Barry was the correct answer (and this answer was available to anyone who's seen Lucifrix's website as well, btw).

4. Who is my first spouse?

Meredith/stakebait 9
Cindy 4
Stephanie/catscradle 9
Torch 4
Erick 2

Though all of the above are technically my spouses in some fashion or another, and I'll bet anything that the folks who met me at this year's Connexions picked Cindy, Steph, aka [livejournal.com profile] catscradle was the correct answer. FWIW, Mer is my latest spouse.

5. Where have I NOT lived for any length of time?

Florida 8
New Orleans 3
New York 0
Denver 6
England 11

Boy New York was certainly a gimme, wasn't it? ;) Key phrase in this question: "any length of time". I have never lived in Florida. I have, however, lived for a few years in New Orleans, over a year in Denver, I'm a native New Yorker and... I used to spend summers with my brother at his flat in England. Florida and I have only crossed paths on brief vacations.

6. What's my favorite alcoholic drink?

Beer 2
Martini 2
Pina colada 7
Scotch 7
K&B Vodka 10

This one should have had partial credit. Again there's that 20/20 hindsight. I don't drink much, but if I do drink then I'm apt to have a scotch. However I can understand those who voted for K&B Vodka under the idea that "favorite" might not have necessarily meant I liked to drink it. I do have a soft spot for K&B Vodka from my New Orleans days. You've got to love any bottle of alcohol that's it's own "Top Ten Signs You Are An Alcoholic" warning.

7. My first computer was a:

Apple IIe 7
TRS80 14
MacIntosh 4
Gateway 0
Compaq 3

Way back when I was but a little TBQ I would play games and do ridiculously simple programs in BASIC on an Apple IIe.

8. One of my favorite words is

Cup 1
Elephant 6
Any swear word 11
Butterfly 6
Slacks 4

I can see why the swear word option threw a lot of you. But you know just because I do it a lot doesn't mean those are my favorite words. ;) Of that list, "slacks" is my favorite. It's just fun to say.

[blink] What?

9. I was once so bored that I:

Read a homework assignment on time 0
Watched an Adam Sandler movie 13
Dusted my house 7
Watched wheat germ dance 5
Stared at the walls 3

Yep, it's true - I was once so bored that I watched wheat germ dance. It was a bonding moment between me and my older brother. (For those not in the know, wheat germ dances when you open up a new jar of it) (What? I said we were bored). And for the record I have never watched an entire Adam Sandler movie.

10. I knew my brothers were true dorks when:

They got into a fight over U2 tickets 4
They got into a fight about cigarette filters 13
I saw how they dressed in high school 3
I met their girlfriends 4
I met their frat brothers 4

Although all are technically true, it was the cigarette filter fight which confirmed for me that my older brothers were, in fact, the biggest tools on the planet (this was before Carson Daly had a career, mind you). The fight in question was when Older Brother had just bought a state of the art (according to him - like I know) stereo system that was his life and Elder Brother had started up a cigarette habit. EB started - gasp! - smoking near the stereo causing OB to flip a bitch, grab the cigarettes, and run out of the room (bear in mind that EB was in college and OB was in high scool at this time). They ran through the house and even out into the backyard, with EB yelling the immortal words: "You're squeezing the filters!!!"

So basically I can relate to that moment in Friends where Monica says she had the realization that she was cooler than her older brother.

For the record EB and OB also had a fight about U2 tickets, bad ex-girlfriends and their dorky moments in high school. Their frats were actually not so dorky, although I will forever remember the moment when Mom, Dad and I visited the boys at school, EB gave us a tour of his frat (Sigma Alpha Epsilon) and his frat brothers actually paused a porno they were watching to stand up, give my folks a hearty handshake, and in all sincerity talk about what an asset EB was to the team. God I love frat boys.
