So I'm practicing my knitting as I watch TV tonight. I'm up to working on purls, so I'm doing all sorts of combos like stockinette, ribbing, seed stitch, etc.
And I get up to working a pattern into the fabric by following a chart and alternating knits and purls. And it's going so well until I get about four rows from the end. Then bam! I screw up. I think I slipped a yarn over somewhere in there, but I might have also dropped a stitch. Either way it's nothing that I can fix with my limited knowledge b/c I can't tell what's wrong just by looking at it.
So okay, I take it as practice with frogging. I frog back about five or six rows, carefully put the stitches back on the needle, check what I've got against the chart and start over again.
And that goes pretty well until - bam! Another screwup. This one I don't even know what happened, but when I try to frog it back the whole thing collapses.
So I end up having to frog the whole thing. I was so proud of my little pattern and I was almost done and everything!!
WAH!
