So the episode of the Simpsons which dealt with gay marriage needed a special warning alerting parents that OMG tonight's episode dealt with gay marriage. But the rerun which aired after it that dealt with Bart reading Playboy magazines, trying to emulate the Playboy lifestyle, learning the facts of life, Marge cheating at a contest, and James Caan being shot multiple times with the gun wounds and blood being visible on his body required no special warning whatsoever?

Conclusions:

1) Our cultural priorities are supremely fucked up
2) I would not be surprised to find out if the producers of the Simpsons did that juxtaposition on purpose.
