thebratqueenTurns out Grams did not go home last night. Her regular doctor noticed a blood clot and had them keep her overnight so that they could thin her blood out to take care of that. Also there is an aneurysm (moral of the story: my Dad is about as coherent a reporter as my mom is) but according to mom it doesn't require surgery.
I find myself sorely tempted to leave work and go to the hospital myself, just so I can get better informed, if nothing else. But I don't know if I'd just be in the way.
ETA: Talked to Dad and Grams on the phone. Dad swears that right now it's just sitting and waiting for the blood thinners to do their thing. Dad's got his cell and his charger with him, so I'll keep in touch that way and see how it goes.
