Food n' stuff
Jan. 22nd, 2005 04:14 pmLasagna has been going in the crock pot for a few hours now. Should be ready in another hour, give or take. Brownies have just gone in the oven, they too will be done (or at least ready to take out and cool) in about an hour which, with cooling time, should have them ready to eat by the time dinner is done.
Combine all that with the cornmeal pancakes from this morning and I don't think there's a better way to eat your way through a snowstorm. =)
Snow's been pouring down since a little after noon. I'm amused to see how many of my neighbors had the same idea I did and put their cars elsewhere so the plow could clear their spots. The reports say we could get anywhere from 15-25 inches now, so tomorrow should be fun.
Other than that I'm going to spend tonight writing. For that, too, is a great way to spend a snowy night.
Oh - a couple of people asked about the brownie recipe. I've never tried this one before so I don't know if it's any good or not. I can at least say now that the batter was yummy (uh, not that I would ever eat anything with raw eggs in it, of course. [innocent whistle]) but won't know the final outcome on the actual brownies until later. If they're good, I shall post. If not, I shall spare you.
