Here comes Santa Claus...

The last of the Christmas Eve prep is underway. I've got the cheesecake cookies baking in the oven. When they're done I'll take them out to cool then I'll grab a shower before heading to bed.
Today was busy, but good. Got the onion gravy done this afternoon, then went to services with my dad. Dad normally goes to the Catholic church where he's a Eucharistic minister, but he decided to keep me company today. (Plus the Catholic church is annoying him hardcore. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he goes Protestant.) Dad said he liked the service very much. I did too. It was my first Christmas service with this church and it was surprisingly small (I'm used to the standing room only Catholic masses - heck, even the local UU filled up on Christmas Eve) but I found I liked the intimacy.
Then it was dinner, and the Christmas Eve pig-out while watching Aladdin. The Aladdin part isn't traditional, but we were in the mood for something fun.
Mac is currently amusing himself by running around with a toy mouse. I'm glad he's got the joy of the season in his heart as well.
I think that about covers it on this end. Less than a half hour until Santa gets here. Suppose I should get a move on so I don't give the old guy a reason to pass me by ;)
Happy Christmas Eve!
