thebratqueenOkay. I've got work in the morning. I've got to go to bed. Undoubtedly you'll hear from me when I wake up tomorrow, as the first thing I'll be doing is turning on the news.
You know, regardless of who wins, one of the things that really strikes me is about the absolute shit laws that are currently being passed. Gay marriage is being banned everywhere, apparently laws went through making it against the law for emergency personnel to help illigal immigrants in the event of a non-emergency - shit like this is indicative of who was in the White House for the past four years. People who live their lives based on fear and hatred got told by the man in charge that it was okay to force people to comply to their narrow minded views, and here they are voting on it.
It's just... I'm with Jon Stewart, in his comments on tonight's Daily Show. This is the version of the world I dream about, then wake up crying. We can be so much better than this as a people, but we need good leaders to do that. We need leaders that inspire with hope and courage. Bush is not that leader.
