Let's sing pumpkin carols!
Oct. 31st, 2004 03:18 pmHappy Halloween! Look! My icon is seasonally appropriate!
Having finished my end of days assignment last night, I am now faced with a day wherein I can more or less do what I want, though I do want to do some things that don't involve writing. We'll see how this goes.
Dinner tonight will be filet mignon with roasted potatoes and leftover cake from dinner last night.
Activities for today have thus far included going to church (it's the last Sunday before election day, I am doing all the offical praying I can to put Kerry in the White House), and going shopping. Shopping involved discovering that apparently my Halloween costume for today is to be the invisible woman, and it was amazing how many stores I went to wherein I was not offered service - and this includes when I brought my car into the gas station (we do full service around here, it's not that I'm adverse to filling the car up myself, it's just that it's hard to find a self-service place to begin with). Weeeeeiiiiirrrrd.
On the plus side, this does mean that I did not spend over a hundred bucks on boots just so I would have boots to match a skirt that I should have never bought in the first place because I don't own any boots that go with it. On the downside I can't wear the skirt because I still don't have any boots that go with it. It's a vicious cycle.
Still, the day is absolutely beautiful. Pretty leaves and all.
I shall now celebrate that by taking a nap. 8)
Oh - and the local Borders had no copies of Alton's books, but did have Jamie Oliver's new book. So the book that was supposed to come out in October never made it, and the one that was supposed to come out in November is here already. I give up.
