*looks around suspicously*
Sep. 27th, 2004 09:25 pmSo I went to work.
Things were okay until the mail showed up, at which point there was about a foot of insurance claims to go through (for comparison purposes, normally I can count the amount of claims by simply counting them, not by measuring their height when stacked on top of one another). Funnily enough that actually made me glad I went in today, because that gave me the chance to get into the swing of work again before dealing with an insurance backlog. Coming in tomorrow would have meant being confronted with all that mail right off the bat, and I would have probably had to shoot myself in the head.
Around 4 my energy started to fade. By 6 it was definitely on a downswing, to the point where I started to think I'd made a mistake in coming in at all.
But funnily enough by around 7 I started to feel better. I got something of a second wind, and was able to hit the bank and buy a burger on my way home from work.
It might be worth noting that I took my last antibiotic at 3pm today, so I'm wondering if the energy dip and then rise is related to that.
In any event, it's nice to not be totally dead right now. Not that I'm planning on doing anything with this beyond catching up on email, grabbing a shower, and then going to bed early, but that's a heck of a lot better than simply crawling into bed and wondering if I can make it in to work tomorrow.
At this rate I might even still be able to make my belly dancing class tomorrow night =) (If the first class is any indication, it's very low-impact. If it was serious exercise I wouldn't even consider it. I'm actually not planning on doing any of my usual cardio & weight work until next week, regardless of when I start to feel 100% better this week. I'd rather be on the safe side with the stuff that's an obvious use of a lot of energy).
But I'll make the call about belly dancing depending on how I feel tomorrow night.
In the meanwhile - shh! I might be starting to feel better. Don't say anything or you might startle it. ;)
