thebratqueenYou know there's nothing like paying your bills to cure you of any desire to do some impulse shopping. There's also nothing like buying an apt. to suck out your bank account like nobody's business. Ah well. I'm hoping that once I get these initial expenses out of the way things will be cool. [fingers crossed]
Chocolate tarts came out AOK. I tried one last night and stuck the rest in the fridge. Doing a BBQ with my folks later today so I'm bringing them over for dessert. Here's hoping they keep well overnight.
'Tis the week for finales. Can't wait for tomorrow's wildfeed for Angel and Buffy. Also admittedly can't wait to get my Mondays and Tuesdays back. That's going to be a big help for me with all the work I've got to do for the apt. It'll let me do things like head over there to paint in the evening and whatnot. Since I want to move in before the end of June, this would be a happy thing.

If you were put in a body of the opposite sex for a day, what would you do?
Probably not much. I'm not very butch but growing up with two older brothers and a Mom who was known as the neighborhood tough (and this in Queens NY mind you) means I'm not the most girly girl you're going to find. So tossing me in a guy's body for a day isn't going to throw me in much of a tizzy. If I had to guess I'd probably just try to research various body reactions for slash writing purposes. They say you should write what you know ;)
If you could learn any language in the world, what would it be?
This answer's going to be fairly boring - German. My sister in law is German so her entire family lives over there and I'd love to be able to visit them more often, speak with them and take care of myself around and about their town (they don't live in a touristy area) without having to bug one of them to tag along and play translator. I've been trying to teach myself but it's going slow.
Beyond that I'd probably pick something like Japanese, for my magic "dump this in my head fully fluent" wish, b/c it's hard to learn but would be invaluable to know.
