Angel's Food Drive
Jun. 9th, 2004 10:27 pmThanks to
justhuman for the head's up.
Angel's Food Drive is apparently still going strong. They're doing another fund raiser for the LA Food Bank, this time "the Food Drive is planning to either pay for a truckload of food for The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank or pay freight on the truckload. The costs for freight run from $300-$2500 and the cost of a truckload of food runs from $12,000-$36,000. We believe this large gesture will warrant media attention and show ANGEL fans in the positive, committed light they deserve." (Full story here)
It's probably not going to do much for the show (though I'd love to be proven wrong) but I like fan campaigns that donate to charity, as I think that's a better use of the money while still getting the same result of showing that there's an active audience out there that will support their favorite show in whatever format.
They're currently soliciting donations for Ebay auctions, as well as taking money donations via PayPal, so you might want to scoot over and give 'em a few bucks. =)
