Anybody want to place bets?

I'm rooting for the Patriots. You can feel free to mock me savagely for that later if they lose.
In hindsight I feel like we should have put together some kind of betting pool meets ficathon thing where we all place bets on who would win and possibly by how much and then the losers have to write the winners a fic of their choice. Or something. But too late now I guess.
I'm feeling a bit more energetic today than I did yesterday. Hopefully whatever bug I might be fighting off is continuing to work its way out of my system. In the meanwhile someone has clearly told Luna that I've contracted some sort of fatal disease because I can't pry her off of me with a crowbar. Any writing that I'm doing is done in spurts as I manage to reach the keyboard after five minute wrestling matches. I'm touched by this, and yet I also fondly remember the time when I thought to myself it'd be so nice to have a second cat because then they could keep each other company and I wouldn't feel guilty about leaving them to their own devices while I got some work done. Ha!
Finally, would someone please figure out a way to get me to stop checking TWOP? I swear my continued visitation to that site is the perfect example of "This milk's sour - let me put it back in the fridge and see if it's better tomorrow". I know it sucks, I know I won't be able to spend more than five minutes at any part of it without wanting to tear my hair out, and yet I keep going back under the assumption that I can somehow bypass the stupidity, get to the good stuff (namely spoilers and information about some of my favorite shows) and back out again unharmed. I am so very, very wrong. And yet I keep doing it. It's like an illness.
I ranted a bit about this in janedavitt's journal (and I hope she doesn't mind me linking to the post b/c I don't think it was friends-locked) but I think the crux of it boils down to TWOP is one-stop shopping for multiple shows, and for a while there even while it was starting to suck it was at least a "devil you know" and could therefore deal with. Now that it's sucking and nothing but suck I'm still reluctant/too lazy to take the time to find a replacement. Especially since I have a very low tolerance for the normal levels of stupidity that can be found on pretty much any internet group anywhere (as I've ranted here before).
I know Panfandom is trying to be the new TWOP (or something) but right now it doesn't have a lot of shows that it covers so I'm still out of luck.
I think what I need is somebody standing over me with a ruler who will hit my hand whenever I click on a link to go to TWOP. Negative reinforcement, that's the ticket! Or I guess more negative reinforcement since the crappiness of the site itself just wasn't doing it.
Ah well. Anyway, off to go get ready for the Superbowl. Go team!
