Oh the weather outside is yikesful

thebratqueenStill snowing. I don't know if we're up to the official blizzard yet but so far it's definitely coming down. Official count of inches as of my last listening to the news was about 6, with a guesstimated 12-16 by the end of the day.
Dad is still in Dallas and looks to remain there until Sunday night, possibly Monday morning.
Talked with Older Brother. Annika is doing a bit better today. Unfortunately they have to bring her in to see her doctor to double check (and also check on Mouse who also has a cough) and since the Brooklyn medical center that they would go to for this is closed due to the snow, they have to haul themselves into Manhattan. I do not envy them.
Older Brother also says much thanks to those who sent Annika good vibes/wishes and says to please keep 'em coming if you are so inclined.
In other news, I made cornmeal pancakes for the first time ever and dear GOD are these things insanely good. I'll be making another batch of those tomorrow, just to make sure I've got plenty of leftovers to last the week.![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
versailles_rose also tells me that this would count as New England cooking, which is nice as I've been meaning to scratch trying New England cooking off my list and this is the first recipe I know of that doesn't require me to boil all the ingredients as a first step ;)
Plans for today include icon making, posting an announcement of sorts later, putting up the tree and possibly getting another installment of Pet done. We'll see how successful I am by the end of the day. =)
