We love the 80s

thebratqueenOkay people, I'm on a nostalgia kick. Come play! Tell me I'm not the only one who can off the top of her head sing Jem's "Like a Dream" song, or remembers that in the first season of A Different World Denise's college was not all-black, or who watched the cartoon version of Dungeons & Dragons ("Only one of us is going to make it out of here alive and it's not going to be me! Wait..."), or watched Shirt T-t-t-t-tails, Snorks, or Trollkins ("Mmm - spaghetti. Lucky there were no meatballs.")
Who out there remembers how the planet on Thundercats reformed because dear God that never made any sense to me even while I was watching? Who can do Teela's run on He-Man or Man at Arms's lumbering way of looking in two directions? Who else besides me cried like a little bitch during the episode in which Smurfette's mouse died?
Are my Rainbow Brite people in the hizzouse? How about You Can't Do That On Television? Atari vs Coleco: discuss. Did you get the Apple IIe? Did you play Choplifter on it and try to squash the little people you were supposed to be rescuing or was that just me when I was pissy? And how about Joust? Or that one where you had to get the dinosaur eggs and not get stomped by the mama dino's foot? Oh! And that kick ass Indiana Jones ripoff one that also had dinos in it at random moments.
I have all this knowledge that does absolutely nothing for me except make me gasp with glee when I see people talking about My Little Ponies so damn it come join me! I love the 80s, the LJ remix.
ETA: 90s stuff is welcome too as god knows I can't remember when everything was. Plus I'm jonesing for memories of Parker Lewis Can't Lose ("Memo to self, find out how he keeps things cold in there.")
