ANGEL SINKS TO THE OCEAN'S DEPTHS AS CORDELIA ASCENDS TO THE HEAVENS - The joyful reunion between Angel (David Boreanaz) and his now teenage son Connor (guest star Vincent Kartheiser) is short-lived when the enraged Connor comes seeking revenge against Angel for murder. Meanwhile, just at the moment when Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) and Angel are finally ready to face their feelings for each other, she is sent a message that it's time for her to leave this world and to move on to another.

Oh god please let this be better than it sounds. On the one hand it's nice to get confirmation of the "Angel in a box at the bottom of the ocean" thing, but on the other - we're confirming C/A?? Why? They have no chemistry! And even if you wanted to sell me on Angel loving Cordy I'm seeing nothing to suggest she might love Angel. This is so forced!

Plus I was holding out hope that Angel being at the bottom of the ocean was going to be the surprise season ending - the final kick in the gut to all the "it's got to be happy and fluffy" people out there. How can it be the surprise season ending if WB is talking about it in the press release?

Edited to add - aha! Checked out Angel's Soul Spoiler Board and it looks like the WB really is being that stupid. Whew!
