I have to admit it
Sep. 17th, 2003 11:05 amYou know, I avoid most morons in general because doing so provides me with a fairly obvious way of keeping my stress levels down. However, because I attempt to be an even-handed skeptic, I had to head over to Ann Coulter's website to actually get a feel for the woman to see if she was anything like Al Franken was representing her.
Gotta say - I hate her. I hate her, I want to slap that smug expression off her face and I want to tell her to shut the hell up. Then I want to have front row seats while she tells the military families who have lost fathers/mothers/sons/daughters over in Iraq that really the problem is that they got their "hair mussed" (no, seriously, go read the page - scarily this is a direct quote) and watch as they rip her to shreds.
Then I want to start over.
ETA: Oh god, it doesn't get better. I clicked on this article and the very first sentence I read is "THE MYTH OF 'McCarthyism' is the greatest Orwellian fraud of our times." Oh. My. GOD. I - I have no words. Or eyeballs, as my expression of sheer disgust and horror forced them to pop out of my head and scoot along the floor. Thank god for touch-typing.
I feel I should stop reading and yet I can't. It's like that time I tried reading Willow/Angel stories and kept clicking one after another in the assumption that at least one story out there, somewhere, was good and I just had to find it.
Somewhere, somehow, this woman must make sense. I'm sure of it.
