Cokey sat on the table, alone. The other cans were gone now, but that didn't matter. He only had eyes for one other.
That other sat on the desk, far from the table but not entirely out of sight. It was, granted, hard to see since he was practically two-dimensional and at the moment lying flat but even still - Cokey knew he was there.
And, one day, Cokey knew that he would be fortunate enough to make it to that desk and be with his one true love.
There would be smudging, of course, but Cokey didn't care. True love conquered all. Even the side effects of carbon paper.
