This is all based off of the wildfeed as I'm reading it so...

ARGH! ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH!!! Continuity much? Why the Hell is Gunn suddenly not on Wes's side when he was defending Wes last week? When even Lorne was on the page that Wes needed forgiveness. Now the only one who slightly remembers that is Fred??

And oh good - comedy. Look, I'm all for lightening up the angst with some humor but this is not the way to go. Bad puns about Gunn's "tool"? Tell me I didn't read that.

Fred - ARGH! Yet again we have a scene of Fred being faced with someone who's just been given devistating news and she doesn't comfort them. "Hey Wes - Angel seriously wants you dead, none of us trust you and by the way it was all for nothing. Well I'm off for a coffee, later!" ARGH!

Flashback - seven years ago. You know I'd appreciate it if they tossed us a bone on Gunn's age here. Minor quibble but still.

Oh good... Cordy's back. I'm so glad she returned in time to be useless and a Polyanna about Fred and Gunn's romance, because God knows if Cordy is anything, it's a Polyanna about things.

The breakup - much as I hate Fred even I wouldn't write her as this stupid. Where's the "Um, babe? You were just giving me a good day. So either you're lying or possessed by a demon, pick one."

Cordy's speech to Angel - again with the being a Polyanna. I'm sorry but the "buck up, little camper" speech was appropriate the first time when Cordy gave it in the season premiere. Angel just lost Connor. This isn't the time for rampant win-one-for-the-Gipperism (tm Mer)

Okay - Fred admits later she doesn't believe the breakup. That's fair.

ARGH! Okay, I really held out hope that Angel's "we aren't going to lose another member of this family" line was going to be appropriate and show that he's coming out of his grief or something. Except it's not. ARGH!

How did the gang get to the soul-sucker's place only minutes after Gunn, who left a long time ago?

Gunn works for Angel, huh? If the gang accepts the insane vampire as the boss expect me to be deeply bitter.

"won't he turn evil and kill everyone?" Yeah - like last fucking week. Where these characters even there last week? Did David Greenwalt actually write this ep?

That's the ending? That's how they take care of the repo guy? Oh my GOD how lame.

Aha! An age! An age!! Seven years ago Gunn was seventeen! Thank you! We finally have an age!!

Angel taking apart the crib - a believable scene.

Sigh, okay, I gotta go to work. Once again I'll hold out hope that at least the "Angel recovering from Connor and going to save Gunn" stuff plays better when I can actually see it acted out, but I'm not holding out much hope. This is a seriously disappointing follow-up to "Forgiving"
