thebratqueenI'm coming up on my 1100th LJ post - or at least post in this journal. I feel as though I should make it something grand and important, however I lack the energy to actually follow through on that. Either that or I need to be reeeeeally quiet until I've got brainpower enough to do, say, my "What is slash?" essay. Which I may end up doing tonight regardless. We'll see.
Found out today that boss-man is taking a week off at the end of the month. Which means plenty of net and IRC time at work for me. Woo! Sadly it also means that I'll have to work an extra Saturday. I love my boss but he sometimes does have the boss gene which makes it impossible for him to see that even though he doesn't mind working the extra Saturday, maybe yours truly was glad for the break.
In news of the random, what the heck happened to all those ads for hybrid cars? I only just realized this week that you don't really see them much anymore. Am I just not watching the right TV programs or did the ads vanish because these days trying to suggest that we need cars that run on less gas is tantamount to admitting you'd like to tongue-kiss the nearest Iraqi dictator (which these days I guess would mean Dubya - ba dum BUM! Thanks, I'll be here all week).
Have done nothing for any of my fic-a-thons yet. I've got Friday off so I'll do the slashfic one then. And after that I'll just have to double check the due dates for Faith and BoD. Be nice if I could get those done while the boss is out of the office. Er - I mean I'll be dedicating myself to my job the whole time.

obsessedmuch]]]) and various fandoms I am so glad not to be involved in except from very afar. I greatly enjoy my little LJ island wherein I only get as much fandom as I want to and all the weirdness can be left with the bouncers at the door. I think I would quickly go batshit insane if I had to deal with fandom only via mailing lists and such.
Finally, would it just rain already? Sheesh. Damn weather foreplay.
