Finally, after months of trying, managed to get Older Brother on the phone and have the "So I heard through the grapevine that Elder Brother told you about me being bi." conversation!
It was funny b/c I actually think he was trying to hint his way around it b/c he was making a few more gay-friendly comments than he normally would (ie almost randomly saying stuff like "Hey whatever you want to do in your personal life is okay by me." even though we hadn't actually been talking about my personal life as such so it wasn't exactly a sequitor) so that made it a smidge easier for me to bring up the topic without any sequitor of my own.
Had a slight weird moment where after I said that and then immediately explained how it took me so long b/c every time I wanted to bring it up when we were together in person other things kept taking the limelight (ie him and the missus announcing the forthcoming baby) and he was kind of quiet during all that to the point where I got a little worried. But when I asked him "Are we okay here or do you just not want to talk about this right now b/c you've got company over?" he was all "No, we're fine. I mean what's to talk about? You're my kid sis." and at the end of the conversation when he said "I love you" it was with his usual warmth and snuggliness.
So yay.
Now I'm going to go burst into tears like the girly girl I am.
