Not dead yet
Jun. 28th, 2003 12:33 pmThose members of the People for the Ethical Treatment of TBQ's Plants will be happy to know that they (the plants) have all managed to survive the night. I watered them as
gairid instructed and even gave them a cheery hello. In response they mostly just sat there and got wet since, you know, plants. Although I do think I detected some violent photosythesis going on. Naturally this made me feel as though I was intruding so I left the plants to themselves with a quick apology for the interruption.
In other news I'm stunned to discover that it's actually a pleasant day outside. The ACs, which have been going almost all week, are now off and I've opened up the windows to let the fresh air in. Part of me almost wishes I'd known it was actually going to be 80something degrees today as I might have held off on the gardening until then, but OTOH this way I've got a few extra hours to be lazy today so gift horse, mouth, blah di blah.
Later tonight will bebooze and drugs dinner and Buffy over at the folks' house. This will also be when I decide if I really want to join my dad in picking up my bro and sis-in-law at the airports tomorrow or if I'd much rather be lazy. On the one hand - lazy. On the other - bro and sis-in-law.
I have to admit part of me is just tempted to drive down to LaGuardia myself, greet Older Brother with a cheery "Hi, welcome back from Chicago and by the way let me just confirm for you that yes, I'm bi." and then drive back home. I mean that's all I need to do, really. On the other hand - lazy.
Granted being lazy is how I got into this mess in the first place. I'm not unaware of the irony.
