Good things, bad things
Jun. 25th, 2003 09:30 amGood: Being inspired to pay my bills before they're all overdue
Bad: Doing so, then finding a surprisingly small balance leftover
Better: Realizing that this is due to having to pay motor vehicle tax, which I hadn't budgeted for, rather than being due to me spending my money irresponsibly
Good: Being sick and going to bed early like a good girl
Bad: Being unable to sleep anyway due to headache
Bad: Waking up at 6am after only getting a couple of hours in
Better: Meds finally kicking in and allowing a quick catnap before the alarm goes off
Better still: Only having to deal with patients for half of the day
Bad: Icky, nasty, hot summer weather
Good: Having air conditioning in my apt, unlike last year.
So as you can see, a day of ups and downs.
The rest of my day should, knock on wood, not be too bad. The doc is taking a half day which means I only have to deal with patients in the morning, then in the afternoon I get to sit and amuse myself (hem hem) while answering the phone and waiting for the mail. Fortunately I was wise enough to remember to bring my crochet with me as the last time I was alone in the office I was so insanely bored that
buffybot and I had to play the alphabet game. (Don't ask)
And at least I get to go home earlier than normal too.
