Bringing Angelus in was decided very early on in the game.
The majority of the WV players did not know about this. Some guessed it as the game went on, but only based on the way Angel was acting. The only person (or people - I'm not telling) who knew before hand were those whose characters would have known without having to be told.
Hints about the whole thing can be found as far back as when the gang is still in LA.
Absolutely no Angel(us) posts are lies. Yes, Angelus lies, and frequently, but to be fair to the other players I never wrote a false narrative. His inner thoughts and feelings are all true. I just used a lot of pronouns and other vague words so as not to give the game away beforehand. (For example, when leading Cordy to Dru, his narrative mentions that the last thing he wanted was Wes and the others trying to mount a half-ass rescue mission. This was entirely true. He just meant for Cordy.)
So yes, this also means that many Angel(us) posts in this game can now be reread to discover their secret double meaning.
Yes, it did kill me to put all that work in and realize that nobody would notice it for months, it at all. ;)
And yes, it cracked my shit up when the show had Angelus pretending to be Angel in the exact same way that I did. In fact allow me to point you to my review of Calvary just to prove myself.
Finally, as some are already trying to guess, there are consistant rules and logic about the whole Angel(us) thing. I didn't start out with one idea then suddenly switch to another. So if you really want to put that work in, you can certainly try to reread and see what all went down. Of course, as I say, the start of this goes all the way back to LA so....
