thebratqueenOkay, there's got to be some sort of astrological explanation for why everybody seems to be flipping a bitch, because today I'm fine yet one of our patients went totally psycho because, I kid you not, I changed the schedule so she could arrive late as she wanted to.
Basically she calls up with 20min to go until her appt and says she's going to be late. Now she's got a very detailed appointment so we can't skimp on time, if she's late more than 10 min she'll have to totally reschedule, which we tell her. She asks why she can't come late and be seen anyway and we explain that there's a patient immediately after her who also needs to be seen. But Patient #1 insists that she must be seen today and must be late so, okay, I call up patient #2, ask her to come in earlier, the amount of time for patient #2's appointment is the exact amount of time patient #1 is going to be late - win/win, right?
Except no, because patient #1 flips a bitch. Why, I have no idea, because I explain to her that she said she would be 15 min late, patient #2 had a 15 minute appointment, putting patient #2 into those 15 min would allow patient #1 to be seen late and today for that matter, just as she wanted. She's going to be seen 15 miin later, just as she asked for. Nope. She's still not happy.
I don't pretend to get it.
In other news I'm amazed at the diversity of response to last night's episode of Buffy. No spoilers here, even for the episode. Just suffice it to say it's amazing how we can all watch the same thing and draw some wildly different conclusions from it.
