Okay, in need of tech advice here.

Yesterday I went to replace the batteries in my Visor Handspring (after noting that they were surprisingly low for all that I hadn't used the device in days) and when I tried to turn it on with the new batts I got nothing. In a panic I tried putting the old, still semi-good batts back in and still got nothing. Switched for new batts yet again and still nothing.

So as of right now I've got a dead piece of equipment here. After it was working totally fine, albeit with a low battery notice, when I turned it on yesterday afternoon.

The hell?? Anybody with more experience here who can guess what happened and how I need to fix it? Or am I kissing my dreams of a new DVD player goodbye in favor of having to buy a new PDA?

ETA: Okay, thanks to the wonders of the handspring website I was able to fix it. Lost all my data though. That'll teach me to sync more often. Still not sure why the batteries drained so fast or why the problem started in the first place, but gift horse, mouth, not looking.
