interdictor is blogging from NOLA. He's put up photos from the area and talks like a local, so my money's on it being real. Fair warning: the posts may not be for the faint of heart.

NOLA weblog. This will both raise your spirits and break your heart, as you'll see as many offers of help as you will people who desperately need it.

muskrat_john, the creator of Dork Tower, has a Katrina related piece that he's drawn and will be putting the original up for auction, proceeds to benefit Katrina relief. As of me writing this his server (Gamespy) is down so you can't see the comic, but once that's up again you will.

A list of charities and their affiliates for those who might be wary about donating to places with a hidden agenda.

Two more charity tourneys have been added to the PokerStars (aka Wil Wheaton affiliated) online tournament.

MoveOn.org has created Hurricane Housing, to help coordinate those who need a place to live post Katrina with those who have places to offer.

cheesygirl, who is in Mississippi, has a specific request for donations to an animal shelter that's taking in pets displaced by Katrina. (ETA: Donations can also go to the shelter's website)

Finally, if anyone knows how to tell the Speaker of the House to go fuck himself like he wants to go fuck New Orleans I am all ears.
