Gotta dance!
Jun. 16th, 2005 10:48 pmOn the way to dance class tonight the heavens opened. The rain poured down so hard that at times I was seriously tempted to pull over and/or turn around. But, unlike the fog that sent me scurrying home a few months ago, I stuck it out under the theory that a storm that bad couldn't last long, esp considering that there'd been no weather warnings about it.
It held out longer than I thought it would, but I made it to class safe and sound - and reasonably dry, even.
Class was fun. We did drills and then practiced our choreographed piece a bit more. Apparently the owner of the school has gotten requests for tribal performances so we may start working on doing short pieces for fairs and the like. Which means I'll have to step up trying to find a proper outfit to wear. I know of a few sources, so that's not the problem, it's just that I'm always a bit mistrustful of buying things to put over the girls via online stores. I've learned that I can't tell if shirts and the like will actually fit me until I try them on, and cholis are like if shirts and bras had a baby (if you're lucky, in my case I'll probably have to work a bra into the choli on top of it).
Ah well, nothing to do but try.
After class the teacher and her friend/dance partner/one of my fellow students invited me to join them for drinks. Which was a very nice palate cleanser after the disappointment of the knitting group yesterday. We sat and chatted for over an hour, which is why I am now home late and why I do not have time to catch up on my email. =)
