We're walking, we're knitting...
Jun. 6th, 2005 12:01 amTurns out it went past 90 today. Suddenly not feeling so much guilt for turning the AC on. The weather report on Friday said that today was supposed to be like 84 or something, so I was feeling like such a wuss for needing AC to deal with that. But past 90? Pfft. Screw that. That's what the AC is for.
Note to self: check weather for the rest of the week.
Finding it too hot to go for a walk downtown (and finding downtown too boring to walk through since I've been there a million times this week) I decided to go for a leisurely walk at a local arboretum. Wasn't stalked by a deer like I was last time, but I enjoyed myself all the same.
Back home I went to take a nice cool bath... and didn't get out again for 3 hours. Ahem. In my defense there aren't any clocks in my bathroom and I got immersed in reading all the magazines I'd brought in with me. It's my favorite kind of porn: cooking mags. ;) So on the plus side I'm very clean, and I've cleared that stack of magazines off of my To Do list.
Did more knitting on the baby sweater. Nearly screwed up the pattern with one stitch and didn't realize it until two stitches later. It was one of those things where I probably could've kept going and nobody would've noticed, but I decided to make it practice in unknitting just so I could go back and redo it. It went well and here we are. Haven't reached the halfway point on the back yet, but I'm pleased with my progress.
