Snow! Tons of it! TONS of it! Near white-out conditions! It started around 11 this morning with big fat flakes and now is pouring down.

Driving? Oh so fun. But on the plus side it looks like we might be getting out early. I'll still be here at work until 4:30 or so, but the last 2 patients rescheduled so 4:30 is better than 6.

[sits and watches pretty white stuff fall from the sky]

A-HEM

Attention [livejournal.com profile] flaming_muse and [livejournal.com profile] cheesygirl:

You see that plot bunny over there? The tiny one that looks like a very small, earnest young Watcher-to-Be and the vampire who cares for him? I don't care how much it twitches its adorable nose it is going right back home with you!

Oh sure, you say you're going to fed and water it, but we all know who's going to end up changing its litter and making sure it somehow leads towards angst, smut, and various forms of snuggling.

Nope, nope. Back home with you! Go on now!

Snow day!

Back home. Sadly some idiot (i.e. me) left the windows open this morning when it was still fairly warm outside, so the house is a wee bit chilly and I had to clean up some puddles from this morning's rain.

But I'm home, with the potiential for soup and cornbread for dinner tonight, assuming I get the energy up to make it.

Ah irony: getting extra time at home, which you'd think would help out with catching up on all the things I need to do, only finding out as soon as I sit down that I'm actually kind of exhausted and would like to take a nap. Which I may still end up doing.

Watched some TV with the cats as we all warmed up together. I enjoy Paula Deen on the Food Network - not so much that I Tivo her, but she's fun to watch when I have odd moments like this. However, it's gotta be said: you're going to feed a former president and you use biscuits from a can to make monkey bread? Seriously? Is Sandra Lee contageious or something?

ETA: Oh! And I saw this commercial for this show where it's like "Crafter: Death Match!!!" and the idea is that it's like a Junkyard Wars style competition between two crafters, where they have to like make birdhouses or scrapbooks in the dark or something like that. And I'm sitting there watching the whole thing going okay, any second now they're going to add on the bit about how the show isn't going to save you any money on car insurance because no way can this be real.

But then they had the tag, which is that it's going to be showing on the Style network.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Eating dinner helped a bit with the total lack of energy, but not by much. Even so I was able to get a little writing done. It's a bit for [livejournal.com profile] angelusverse, as one of the charity requests I have is for Angelus/Wes and for that I do need to do a bit of telling one story so I can tell another.

Sadly did not finish it tonight, though. Got about halfway there and then the brain just gave out.

Have finally decided to give up and call it a night.

So... night!
